This course will focus on centralized chilled water air conditioning systems which are commonly found in offices, hotels and shopping complexes. It will provide direction on the selection, operation, maintenance and retrofit of air conditioning systems to reduce energy consumption whilst at the same time maintaining comfort and indoor air quality. Energy efficiency retrofits of air conditioning systems carried out analytically and systematically can result in energy savings from  20% to 50%.
