Institute Sultan Iskandar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Global Event is organising the above upcoming National Seminar focusing on the creation of a security consciousness culture which values the safeguarding of proprietary information at the workplace is indeed a challenge for managers in most Malaysian organisations.
Many have yet to place a priority on having security awareness training and ethical usage programs for their staff. There are also some who believe that technology can be the cure while others look at legislation as the way forward. Perhaps there are other hidden aspects of our Malaysian culture which we need to examine as we know different cultures have different views about taking the necessary precautions to secure data.
This National Seminar is designed to enable you to identify the key shared values and practices which are important in evolving a work culture where security of information becomes a way of life in doing business. Participants will be exposed to best practices and concepts relating to security awareness and what model organizations have done to ensure their information system remains updated, safe and secured.
