AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON

THE NEED FOR INFORMATION SECURITY CONVERGENCE IN BANKING & FINANCIAL INSTITUTION

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE

Greetings…

We are pleased to inform that Institute Sultan Iskandar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Global Event is organising the above upcoming National Conference which will explore a variety of threats and risks facing financial institutions today, discuss at a high level the techniques used, and provide some insight into best practices for implementing controls to detect and mitigate in Malaysia.

The banking industry on the whole has taken significant steps to minimize fraud in its online/offline business activities. Still, there is no expectation that the levels of fraud seen worldwide will drop anytime in the near future. Besides the technological advances and the threats facing the banking institutions in the “online” world, the banking community is facing a slew of regulatory requirements never seen before.

With consumer confidence in “online” banking activities being tarnished by spam, phishing and ID theft-related incidents, this conference will provide an opportunity for the attendees to assess the effectiveness of their own information security program and provide an awareness of current and emerging threats. Knowledge of these threats and risks are imperative to implementing effective controls and properly safeguarding customer and corporate information.

On behalf of ISI and Global Event, we would like to invite your goodself or representatives from your institution and organisation to participate in this upcoming national conference.
